Types of Insulation We Provide

Attic Insulation

Properly insulating your home is one of the most basic and important steps you can take to achieve year-round comfort while lowering your energy costs. Most older homes and newer homes can benefit from additional insulation in the attic, exterior walls, overhangs, sill boxes, or the foundation.

Insulation slows down the movement of heat to keep it where you want it. That means out in the summertime and in during the chilly winter months. It also helps with lower utility bills, less pollen and dust, and humidity control.

Wall Insulation

If your attic has enough insulation and proper air sealing, and your home still feels drafty and cold in the winter or too warm in the summer, chances are you need to add insulation to the exterior walls. It may be worth the cost—especially if you live in a very cold climate. When you replace the exterior siding on your home, consider insulating your exterior walls at the same time.

Dense-packed cellulose is a highly efficient option for insulating existing exterior walls. We install dense-packed cellulose at 3.5- 4 pounds per sq.ft. At this density, it not only insulates, but air seals the walls. It insulates better than the average fiberglass batt and slows airflow through walls making your house cheaper and easier to heat and cool.

If you are looking to insulate using the greenest of options, cellulose insulation is probably for you. It is manufactured using more than 85% recycled materials, acts as carbon storage, and requires significantly less energy to manufacture than any batt insulation on the market.

Crawlspace Insulation

If your floors are cold to the touch, it may be time to insulate the crawl space. Insulating a crawl space increases the comfort level in your home and decreases heating and cooling expenses. Crawl space insulation, as a part of overall home air sealing and insulation, helps maintain your entire home's energy efficiency.

Basement Insulation

Basements are notorious for being cold. Your basement box sill and rim joist are areas above the foundation and below the walls. Due to this, it lets in cold air from outside into your basement. It is also an area that allows many pests into your home. Mice love to nest in old fiberglass. We remove the old fiberglass and spray with closed cell foam to help seal everything up and insulate this leaky area. This will increase the comfort of your basement and the floors above it.

For this reason, fiberglass insulation usually needs to be avoided when insulating your basement. Closed-cell foam tends to be the insulation of choice.

Soundproofing

Homeowners who choose cellulose insulation get the added value of superior sound control. It is widely used to help limit exterior noise intrusions as well as for limiting noise between interior rooms, basement floors or theater rooms, duplex common walls or ceilings.

New Construction

You finally have your dream home under construction but have you made sure to get the best insulation you can, so you will not face years of high energy bills and comfort issues. We have several insulation choices, closed cell foam, cellulose insulation in attic and walls. Also flash and batt method, we do a combination of closed cell spray foam and batt insulation fill the rest of the void. We also have a few air sealing choices and upgrades for various areas of the home, as necessary.

Air Sealing + Insulation = True Home Comfort

For even greater results, consider insulating and air sealing at the same time.

Air sealing works to prevent air leakage, a common dilemma that puts an additional burden on your HVAC system and makes it more difficult and expensive to maintain comfort. The typical trouble spots include attics, exterior walls, doors, windows, and recessed lights – areas where it’s easy for warm air to escape or sneak into your home. A smart combination of insulation and air sealing is the ideal prescription to combat energy waste, boost comfort and improve home performance.
